01

Start with the destination, not the label

A coastal West African project, a dry Central Asian city and a high-altitude inland market can expose an air conditioner to very different heat, humidity, dust and power conditions. Define the operating environment and buyer segment before asking for a climate-class option.

02

Evidence to request

Ask the supplier to connect every performance statement to the exact quoted SKU. A general catalogue statement should not be treated as proof for every model in a range.

  • Model-specific technical sheet and rated test condition
  • Cooling-capacity and input-power data at the relevant ambient temperature
  • Compressor, condenser and protection configuration
  • Destination energy label or conformity documents where applicable
03

Commercial checks

High-ambient selection also affects assortment, price, spare parts and warranty exposure. Confirm whether every capacity in the mixed container uses the same platform and whether the warranty conditions match the expected operating range.

04

A useful RFQ sentence

State the destination city, expected outdoor-temperature range, quantity by capacity and required conformity documents. Then ask the supplier to identify which quoted models meet those conditions and attach the supporting files.
